Feito Com Amor #2

The last time I visited Feito Com Amor (Made With Love) was already six months ago, so it was time for another peek in Pâmela's lovely store.

There were so many beautiful new products, I didn't know where to look at first :), and even now, looking at the photos I'm discovering things I hadn't seen yet.

If I could live here, believe me I would (didn't I say that last time too :D?)

Cloud pillows Handmade by Mo, porcelain dolls Lammers & Lammers. I had a wonderful time browsing the lovely collection Pâmela put together and left with cute goodies like a deer print from Image de Julie and a gorgeous kitty figurine. Stilleven

My friend Rosalyn took me to 'Stilleven' in Breda last Saturday. I had been to Stilleven before in 2010, when I had a stand on the La Feria market that was hosted there. Back then I hadn't had much time to really look around, but last Saturday upon entering Stilleven, I stepped into my future dream home :).

This place has such a great atmosphere, very calming and serene, I love the colors!

I've been hesitating about this deer, but ended up not taking it with me. It's fabulous though!

I also fell in love with this little bench, but unfortunately my kitties would have their nails all over it if I place it in my home..

I really recommend visiting Stilleven when you are in Breda, they have gorgeous items for sale and you can also have a delicious bite to eat in their garden. Visit their website here.

Poodle

I like poodles. I would love a real one. For now this will do, a poodle brooch from the lovely etsy shop Broesj :).

Today

Today was a perfect first day of Spring. A day where my head felt light and nothing could go wrong. Simple but joyful. I woke up early to the sound of chirping birds and with sunshine hiding behind my floral curtains. After breakfast I grabbed every Flow Magazine in the house I could find and put them on the dinner table. I've been moving furniture around in our living room and the dinner table is now close to the window, a very light and pleasant spot to sit and feel inspired. I started taking out all the 'goodies' that come with the magazines like posters, stickers and little notebooks, and cut out some pretty patterned pages while I was at it.

With a bag full of Flow goodies I headed for my little headquarters, and bought some flowers and Easter eggs on my way. My headquarters is such a happy place for me, I can sit there for hours just looking around me and enjoying all the pretty things. The only place left that needed a little adornment was the toilet, in which I hung up all the Flow posters, cards and pretty pages. In the mean time my friend Arris whom I hadn't seen in a while came to visit, it was really nice to catch up with her.

Once home again I found the most perfect package I've been looking forward to in my mailbox, all I can say is that I now know how it feels to have something custom made just for you, it's amazing! More on this later ;). 

While enjoying the pretty sunset, Joris and I had a tasty meal and watched an episode of Dharma & Greg, we like this show because we can relate to them, being complete opposites of each other :). The bird light(s) in the photo came from Ikea, it works on solar energy, charges during the day and when the sun has set they start to shine a cozy light. Isn't that lovely? I love first days of Spring. How was yours?

Lomo Saturday

Happy to be back with Lomo Saturday, my first subject is little Frutsel. When I photograph Frutsel she acts like a real model, changing pose every second and (sometimes) keeping very still till after I snap my camera. I'm very happy with my new old Praktica, though it isn't in very good condition, the film already got stuck a couple of times. But I love the results :)!

Sphynx

I never petted a sphynx kitty before up until last Saturday. I went to visit kitties Nabu and Luna and their owners Sharyll and Atalia with a friend. They were so adorable! Of course I needed to take a couple of photos.

Aren't they amazing? So much character :)! The kitty in the picture above, Luna, was a real cuddlebug and spent the majority of our time there on my lap. So warm! And they really are soft despite not having a fur coat. It was a lovely experience.

Lomo Saturday

I've been scanning a box filled with old negative film, and found so many beautiful and inspiring pictures my parents took when I was young. I asked my father what kind of camera he used, he mostly photographed with a Canon T70.

This inspired me to take new lomo saturday photo's, not with an original Lomo camera but with an old Praktica MTL3 I recently found.

I was exited to find out if it still worked, and picked up two test films last Thursday. To my surprise there were a couple of lovely pictures in the bunch. 

I still have a lot to learn about the Praktica MTL3, but I'm looking forward to sharing the results with you starting next Saturday!
